Dyson has launched CameraJet, its first electric toothbrush, with a built-in camera, water jet and AI system. Device aims to combine tooth brushing and water flossing in one device.

CameraJet is now available through Dyson Demo Stores and Dyson online. Price starts at £419.99, while US pricing has not been confirmed.

Dyson CameraJet Combines Brushing and Flossing

CameraJet works as an electric toothbrush while also using a water jet to clean gaps between teeth. Dyson designed device to remove need for a separate flossing step.

Water jet sits inside handle and uses a 12.5ml tank. Users can fill tank with water or mouth rinse. Dyson also offers a mouth rinse and non-foaming toothpaste for use with CameraJet.

Water jet creates a conical spray aimed at gaps between teeth. Dyson says this approach can help remove plaque from areas that can be harder to reach with normal brushing.

Built-In Camera Tracks Tooth Gaps

CameraJet uses a 100K-pixel camera to view teeth during brushing. Camera works with an AI machine learning system called “gap optical targeting.”

System scans 28 images of teeth per second to locate gaps and identify areas for targeted water jet use.

Camera activates when water jet is in use or when users open live viewing in Dyson app. Live feed lets users see a close view of teeth while brushing.

Dyson says CameraJet does not store camera imagery on device or in cloud.

Sonic Brushing With Water Jet

Camera and water jet are not only features on CameraJet. Brush also uses sonic movement at 240 times per minute and includes an anti-stall brushing movement.

Charging dock also refills brush during charging, adding water management to charging process.

Dyson has released CameraJet in two colour options: Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink.

Dyson CameraJet Price and Availability

CameraJet is available from Dyson Demo Stores and Dyson online at £419.99. US price remains unconfirmed.

Price places CameraJet among high-end electric toothbrush models, while Dyson adds a camera, AI targeting system and water flosser to its design.

CameraJet offers a different approach to daily dental care by combining brushing, water flossing and tooth viewing in one device.
