TECNO is taking its smartphone business in a new direction with CAMON Slim 5G. Company showed phone at IFA 2026 in Berlin as part of a wider product event that also included new MEGABOOK laptops, a borderless concept phone and other upcoming devices.
CAMON Slim 5G focuses on a thin 6.39mm body, 6,000mAh battery, 50MP Sony camera, AMOLED display and IP69K protection. Despite its thin body, phone weighs 190g.
TECNO also launched CAMON Slim 5G in Bangladesh, making market one of first places to receive phone. Company also used IFA 2026 to show how CAMON Slim fits into a wider plan for smartphone design and personal technology.
TECNO CAMON Slim 5G Has a 6.39mm Body
CAMON Slim 5G measures only 6.39mm in thickness. Phone uses a 3D-curved unibody design that aims to make phone easier to hold.
TECNO offers phone in several finishes, including Matisse Black, Van Gogh Blue, Burgundy Red, Rebel Pink, Gossamer White and Neo Mondrian.
Neo Mondrian uses a photochromic finish that can shift color when exposed to sunlight.
Thin body is notable because TECNO still fits a 6,000mAh battery inside phone. Phone weighs 190g, giving users a large battery without a very heavy body.
CAMON Slim also focuses on durability. Phone carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications.
Phone follows ISO 20653:2023 testing standards. TECNO says phone can handle 80°C boiling water and 100-bar high-pressure steam jets.
Phone also meets MIL-STD-810H requirements. Testing includes 3,000 anti-twisting lift tests at 2N·m, 22,000 micro-drop tests and 1,500 soft extrusion tests at 25kg.
TECNO says phone can survive ice-block and washing-machine tests. Water protection supports submersion up to 2 meters for 30 minutes.
Water resistance can reduce over time. TECNO also warns that seawater contact can affect warranty coverage.
50MP Sony Camera With OIS
CAMON Slim 5G uses a 50MP Sony LYT700C main camera with OIS. Camera has an f/1.8 aperture and a 1/1.56-inch sensor.
TECNO also describes camera system as a Sony LYTIA 600 Ultra Night Camera in its IFA presentation.
Camera system focuses on low-light photography. Super Night Mode can help capture photos in dark scenes.
Phone also has a 50MP Ultra HD mode for using full sensor resolution.
An 8MP ultra-wide camera provides a 112-degree field of view and a 14mm focal length. Front camera uses a 32MP sensor for selfie photos.
Portrait mode offers 24mm, 35mm and 50mm focal lengths. A flicker sensor can help reduce issues caused by artificial lighting.
TECNO also adds Super-Zoom FlashSnap for flash photography at longer distances.
CAMON Slim 5G supports underwater photography down to 2 meters for up to 30 minutes under stated conditions.
6.78-Inch AMOLED Display With 144Hz Refresh Rate
CAMON Slim 5G comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display.
Screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother movement during scrolling, gaming and other tasks.
Phone also supports 2160Hz PWM dimming.
TECNO lists display resolution at 1208 × 2644 pixels. Company notes that 1.5K output comes through upscaling from a native 1080 × 2364 resolution using a T1 chip.
This approach allows TECNO to provide a higher display output while using hardware that does not natively drive 1.5K resolution.
Dimensity 7300e Powers CAMON Slim 5G
Phone uses MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset based on a 6nm process.
Processor has an octa-core setup with four Cortex-A78 cores at up to 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2.0GHz.
Graphics come from Mali-G610 GPU.
CAMON Slim 5G comes with 8GB RAM and supports up to 16GB extended RAM. Storage reaches 256GB.
Phone also supports eSIM.
TECNO includes Freelink 2.0, which can provide device-to-device communication over a range of up to 1.5km under supported conditions.
Company promises three generations of Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
Phone also carries TÜV SÜD 60-Month Fluency A+ certification.
6,000mAh Battery With 45W Charging
One of main points of CAMON Slim 5G is its 6,000mAh battery.
Fitting this battery inside a 6.39mm body gives phone a different balance between size and battery capacity.
Wired charging supports 45W.
TECNO aims to give users long battery use while keeping phone body thin.
CAMON Air Also Launches Alongside CAMON Slim
TECNO launched CAMON Air alongside CAMON Slim 5G in Bangladesh.
CAMON Air also uses a 6.39mm 3D-curved body but weighs 162.8g.
Phone uses MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate chipset and supports 60W Ultra Charge.
CAMON Air comes in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB versions.
Both phones show TECNO’s focus on thin phone design while keeping battery and daily-use features.
TECNO Shows a New Direction at IFA 2026
CAMON Slim 5G is part of a larger change in TECNO’s product strategy.
At IFA 2026, company also showed MEGABOOK computers, including its first 360-degree convertible laptop range.
MEGABOOK T15 360 and T15 360 Pro support laptop, tablet, tent and stand modes.
Both models use 15.6-inch touch displays with 10-point multi-touch support. MPP 2.0 active pen support is also available.
T15 360 uses Full HD resolution, while T15 360 Pro offers 2.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage.
Laptop configurations can include Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, LPDDR5X RAM and PCIe M.2 SSD storage.
Both models use 70Wh batteries and 65W PD GaN charging.
T15 360 is expected to reach Europe in Q4 2026 with a starting range of €899 to €999 based on configuration. T15 360 Pro is priced at €1,099.
More MEGABOOK Models Join TECNO Lineup
TECNO also showed MEGABOOK K15S WCL and MEGABOOK T17 Ultra.
K15S WCL uses Intel Wildcat Lake platform and targets students and early-career professionals. Laptop has a 16:10 display, metal body, 70Wh battery and 65W GaN charging.
T17 Ultra targets users who want a larger display and more performance.
Laptop has a 17.3-inch display and can use up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with LPDDR5X memory.
Battery capacity reaches 99.99Wh, while charging supports 100W GaN PD.
TECNO also wants smartphones, tablets and PCs to work together through OneLeap. System allows supported devices to share functions and work across products.
This approach can help TECNO build a connected product ecosystem instead of relying only on smartphone sales.
TECNO Shows 0mm Border Concept Phone
Alongside CAMON Slim 5G, TECNO showed its Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone.
Concept phone uses structural engineering, internal stacking changes and new screen packaging methods to remove visible black borders around display.
TECNO calls design a 0mm visible display border.
Concept phone is still in validation and does not have a confirmed commercial launch date.
CAMON Slim 5G takes a different approach. Instead of being a concept, phone is designed as a mass-market product.
Both products show TECNO’s interest in changing phone design instead of only adding more processor power, battery capacity or camera features.
TECNO Also Shows POVA 8 Pro 5G Collaboration
TECNO used Berlin event to preview POVA 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition.
Phone combines POVA design with Tonino Lamborghini branding.
Performance comes from MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G platform and TECNO P1 Graphic Chip.
A 5K IceShield Vapor Chamber Cooling System handles heat during demanding use.
TECNO plans to provide more product details on September 4.
TECNO CAMON Slim 5G Price and Availability
Bangladesh is among first markets to receive CAMON Slim 5G.
Exact Bangladesh price was not confirmed in available launch information.
TECNO has not confirmed a full global launch schedule. More markets may receive phone after initial launch.
European availability and other regional pricing may follow later.
Is CAMON Slim 5G a New Direction for Smartphones?
CAMON Slim 5G shows that smartphone development may not always focus on larger batteries, more cameras or faster processors.
TECNO focuses on body thickness while keeping a 6,000mAh battery, 50MP Sony camera, AMOLED display and IP69K protection.
Phone also shows how TECNO wants to compete in design and durability while expanding its product range.
Company is also moving into laptops with MEGABOOK and building links between smartphones, tablets and PCs through OneLeap.
For users who want a thin phone with a large battery and strong water protection, CAMON Slim 5G offers a different option.
TECNO’s IFA 2026 showcase also suggests that company wants to move beyond smartphones and become a wider personal technology brand.
CAMON Slim 5G may not define future of every smartphone, but phone shows one possible path: thinner bodies, strong battery capacity, camera hardware, durability and connected devices in one product strategy.
