Samsung is set to hold Galaxy Event August 2026 on August 27. Event is expected to bring Galaxy S26 FE, while Galaxy A08 and Galaxy A07s listings show that Samsung also plans to keep focus on low-cost phones.
Samsung says event will introduce a new member of Galaxy S26 family. Company will stream event on Samsung.com and YouTube at 9 p.m. KST, or 12 p.m. UTC. Samsung has not directly name Galaxy S26 FE, but reports from multiple outlets point to phone as main device for event.
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Launch Date
August 27 is confirmed as event date, but Samsung has not confirm retail sale date for Galaxy S26 FE. Buyers should separate reveal date from sale date until Samsung provide more details.
Samsung says new phone will bring core Galaxy S26 camera and AI features, along with latest One UI. This points to camera and AI as key parts of phone experience.
Galaxy S26 FE is expected to use Exynos 2500 chip. Google Play Console listing has already point toward chipset. Phone may come with 8GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage, based on reports and past FE models.
Galaxy S26 FE Display and Build
Galaxy S26 FE is expected to use a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1080p+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Screen setup is close to Galaxy S25 FE.
Phone may use an aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on front. Reported body thickness is 7.4mm. IP68 rating is also expected.
Three reported colors are Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio.
Battery and Charging
Galaxy S26 FE may keep a 4,900mAh battery. Charging may also remain at 45W through a wired connection, while wireless charging may support 15W.
A certification listing points to a change in battery cycle rating. Reported battery rating is 1,200 cycles before capacity drops below 80%. Galaxy S25 FE and S24 FE batteries were reported at 2,000 cycles.
At same time, certification data points to up to 50 hours of endurance. Previous FE models were reported at about 42 hours. Exynos 2500 efficiency may help improve battery life.
Galaxy S26 FE Camera
Camera hardware may see limited change. Galaxy S26 FE is expected to use a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera and 8MP telephoto camera with a possible 3x lens. A 12MP front camera may handle selfie and video calls.
Samsung may focus more on camera software than sensor upgrades.
Horizon Lock may help keep video level during movement. My FanCam may use ultra-wide video to track a person and keep that person inside frame. Users may also select a person when more than one person appears in video.
Audio Eraser may remove voices, wind noise and other unwanted sounds from recorded video.
Galaxy S26 FE Price May Rise
Price remains one of biggest questions for Galaxy S26 FE. Leaked European prices suggest Samsung may raise cost compared with Galaxy S25 FE.
| Storage | Galaxy S25 FE | Galaxy S26 FE | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8GB + 128GB | €750 | €800 | €50 |
| 8GB + 256GB | €810 | €900 | €90 |
| 8GB + 512GB | €930 | €1,100 | €170 |
These are leaked Euro prices, so Samsung still needs to confirm official prices for each market.
Samsung may also offer seven OS updates and seven years of security patches, based on reports around new Galaxy S models.
Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra May Also Launch
Galaxy Event August 2026 may also bring two tablet models: Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.
Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to use a 12.4-inch display and Dimensity 9500 chip. Battery capacity has not become clear yet.
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra may use a 14.6-inch display and 11,600mAh battery with 45W charging. Both tablet models may come in Wi-Fi and 5G versions.
Reported US prices for Wi-Fi versions are around $200 higher than previous models. A 5G model may cost $150 more than a Wi-Fi version. Most configurations may use 12GB RAM, while 1TB Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra may use 16GB RAM.
Samsung Galaxy A08 and A07s Keep Focus on Low-Cost Phones
While Galaxy S26 FE may target buyers who want Galaxy S features at a lower price, Samsung also appears ready to continue its ultra-budget Galaxy A line.
Galaxy A08 and Galaxy A07s recently appear in Google Play Console listings. Both phones are expected to use MediaTek Helio G99 chip with Mali-G57 GPU.
Galaxy A08 may come with 8GB RAM and Android 17. A07s may use 4GB RAM and Android 16. Both phones may use a 720×1600 HD display with a waterdrop notch.
Galaxy A08 has also appear in Wi-Fi Alliance and BIS databases under model numbers such as SM-A085F/DS. These listings point toward a possible launch around August 2026.
Galaxy A08 May Get 6,000mAh Battery
FCC data points toward a battery with around 5,830mAh rated capacity for Galaxy A08. Samsung may market phone with a 6,000mAh battery.
25W wired charging is also expected.
Galaxy A08 may use a dual-camera setup on rear and a waterdrop notch on front. Galaxy A07s is expected to offer lower RAM and Android version, positioning phone below A08 in Samsung’s low-cost lineup.
Samsung Galaxy Lineup Continues to Expand
Samsung’s August 2026 plans show a broad Galaxy strategy. Galaxy S26 FE may bring S26 camera, AI and software features to a lower price point, while Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra may expand tablet lineup.
At same time, Galaxy A08 and A07s listings show Samsung still plans to compete in ultra-budget phone segment.
Main focus now remains Galaxy Event August 2026. Samsung has confirmed August 27 event and 9 p.m. KST livestream time, but Galaxy S26 FE name, retail sale date and final price still need official confirmation.
For buyers, event should provide answers about Galaxy S26 FE hardware, price, software and availability. Samsung may also reveal more about new Galaxy Tab models during same event.
