Lenovo has introduced IdeaPad Vibe as a new laptop aimed at Apple’s MacBook Neo. Lenovo announced laptop at IFA 2026 and plans to start sale in October 2026.
IdeaPad Vibe start at around $700 and offer 14-inch and 15-inch display option. Lenovo also offer many color choice, swappable keyboard keycap, OLED display option, AMD Ryzen AI 400 processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor, and a wide set of port.
Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe Price and Release Date
Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe start at $699.99. Price match MacBook Neo starting price.
AMD Ryzen AI 400 model will arrive in October 2026. Snapdragon X model will arrive in November 2026. Lenovo also plan an Intel version for a later date.
Lenovo offer both 14-inch and 15-inch versions. Some model use plastic body, while other model use aluminum body.
Seven Color Options
Lenovo work with Pantone to offer seven color option for IdeaPad Vibe. Users can choose from:
- Dreamy Violet
- Spicy Gold
- Zen Green
- Chill Blue
- Radiant Coral
- Moody Blue
- Lowkey Grey
Lenovo also offer swappable keyboard keycap. Users can change keycap to create a different keyboard look.
Color choice and keycap option give IdeaPad Vibe more customization than many laptop in same price range.
Display Options
IdeaPad Vibe come with 14-inch and 15-inch display option.
Some configuration use OLED display. OLED option will be available with Moody Blue and Lowkey Grey configuration.
Users can also choose an LCD panel with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate on some model. Lenovo also offer an optional touchscreen on 15-inch model.
AMD and Snapdragon Processor Options
Lenovo offer two main processor option for IdeaPad Vibe.
One version use AMD Ryzen AI 400 series processor. Another version use Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor.
AMD model support up to 32GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. RAM can be upgraded by user, while storage also support upgrade through dual storage slot.
Snapdragon X model support up to 24GB RAM. RAM is not user-upgradable on Snapdragon version, but storage can be upgraded.
Lenovo also confirm an Intel processor option will arrive later.
Ports and Webcam
IdeaPad Vibe focus on connectivity and include more port than MacBook Neo.
Laptop include:
- Two USB-C port
- Two USB-A port
- HDMI port
- Headphone jack
- microSD card reader
Laptop also feature a 5MP webcam with a physical privacy cover. An optional keyboard backlight is also available.
Battery option include 50Wh and 65Wh capacity, depending on configuration.
Size and Weight
IdeaPad Vibe measure around 14.9mm thick and start at 2.87 pounds.
Laptop is thicker than MacBook Neo and some other thin laptop, but Lenovo focus on port, upgrade option, and hardware choice instead of only thin design.
Lenovo ThinkCentre X Ultra Also Launches
Along with IdeaPad Vibe, Lenovo also reveal ThinkCentre X Ultra mini workstation.
ThinkCentre X Ultra target users who need more CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and AI performance in a small system.
Lenovo equip system with up to AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor and integrated AMD Radeon 8065S graphics. GPU can use up to 96GB of dedicated graphics memory.
System support up to 128GB LPDDR5x-8533 memory and up to two 4TB M.2 Gen5 SSD.
AI performance reach up to 55 TOPS through NPU.
ThinkCentre X Ultra Ports
ThinkCentre X Ultra offer a wide range of connectivity.
Front side include two 10Gbps USB-C port and a headphone jack.
Back side include:
- DisplayPort 2.1
- HDMI 2.1
- Two 10Gbps USB-A port
- Two Thunderbolt 4 port
- 10Gb Ethernet
- Additional output expansion option
System also include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Compact Workstation for AI
ThinkCentre X Ultra measure 183 × 183 × 51mm, or 7.2 × 7.2 × 2 inches.
Lenovo offer both Windows and Linux versions. System also come with AMD Ryzen AI Developer Center, which include AI model, development tool, and example workflow.
Users can connect up to four ThinkCentre X Ultra system in a cluster. Lenovo says this setup can help run larger AI model, more agent, more request, and longer context window.
ThinkCentre X Ultra Price and Availability
Lenovo plan to release ThinkCentre X Ultra in November 2026.
Starting price is expected to be around $3,699. Price will vary based on processor, memory, storage, and other configuration.
Lenovo Targets Different Laptop and PC Users
IdeaPad Vibe and ThinkCentre X Ultra target different user group.
IdeaPad Vibe focus on users who want a laptop around $700 with more port, color option, display choice, and upgrade option. MacBook Neo is one of main competitor in this price range.
ThinkCentre X Ultra focus on professional user who need a small workstation for AI work, development, and other demanding task.
Lenovo also face competition from new mini PC system based on Nvidia RTX Spark hardware, which are expected to arrive during fall 2026.
With IdeaPad Vibe, Lenovo enter a laptop segment where Apple already have a strong product. Lenovo use multiple processor option, OLED and LCD display choice, upgradeable hardware, many port, and swappable keycap to make Vibe different from MacBook Neo.
AMD model will arrive first in October, followed by Snapdragon X model in November. Intel option will come later.
