Huawei has launched Watch D3, a health-focused smartwatch with blood pressure monitoring, a larger AMOLED display, and a thinner body. Huawei also announced FreeBuds Neo wireless earbuds during the same launch. Watch D3 keeps focus on health tracking while adding changes to design, display, connectivity, and battery.

Huawei Watch D3 Design

Huawei Watch D3 keeps a similar design to Watch D2 but comes with a thinner body. Watch D3 measures about 11.3mm to 11.4mm in thickness and weighs 40 grams. Watch D2 measured 13.3mm, so new model cuts body height while keeping a similar weight.
Watch D3 uses an aluminum alloy body and comes with a leather and HNBR strap. Huawei offers Mocha Gold, Pale Gold with a gold dial, and Black color options. Watch also has a rotary crown, function button, and ECG button. Two strap sizes cover wrists from 130mm to 210mm.

A key part of Watch D3 design is its airbag strap. Huawei makes airbag 1mm narrower than before. Airbag can expand around wrist during blood pressure measurement and works like a small blood pressure cuff.

1.92-Inch LTPO AMOLED Display

Watch D3 has a 1.92-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 408 x 480 pixel resolution. Display reaches up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. Watch D2 had a 1.82-inch display and 1,500 nits peak brightness, so Watch D3 brings more screen space and higher brightness.

Display has 328 PPI pixel density. Huawei also uses narrow bezels around panel, giving more screen area for watch content and health information.

Blood Pressure Monitoring Is Main Feature

Blood pressure monitoring remains main feature of Huawei Watch D3. Huawei uses an inflatable airbag inside watch strap to take blood pressure readings. Airbag works with an oscillometric method and a high-precision sensor. Huawei also uses TruSense system to record pulse pressure and blood pressure data.

Watch D3 supports 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, also known as ABPM. Watch can take readings at set times during a full day and connect blood pressure data with other health data such as pulse.
Night monitoring also gets attention. Huawei says Watch D3 can perform blood pressure measurement with less noise during sleep. Watch can also monitor heart rate during sleep and provide health data.

Watch D3 can remind users to check blood pressure before and after exercise. Watch can also respond to changes such as high altitude or temperature drops. If blood pressure reaches a high level, watch can suggest delaying intense exercise.

Health Tracking Features

Huawei adds several health tools to Watch D3. Health Glance can provide a health report across 11 indicators in about 60 seconds. Report can include heart rate, blood pressure, and blood oxygen saturation.

Watch D3 also supports sleep health tracking, pulse wave arrhythmia analysis, and Emotional Wellbeing features. Watch can track heart rate trends and blood pressure before and after exercise.
Workout and sleep tracking also remain part of watch functions. With blood pressure data added to these health tools, Watch D3 targets users who want health data from a single wearable.

Battery and Connectivity

Huawei Watch D3 uses a 540mAh battery. Huawei claims up to six days of battery life with regular use. Watch also supports Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity.
Watch D3 also supports NFC tap-to-pay through Curve Pay. Device works with Android 8 or later and iOS 13 or later.

Huawei says Watch D3 can charge in about 75 minutes. Battery capacity and six-day usage target give users a longer period between charges compared with many smartwatch use patterns.

Huawei Watch D3 Price and Availability

Huawei Watch D3 is listed at €449 in Germany. Another launch price places watch at £399.99 in UK. Official sales are set to start on September 23.
Huawei also offers launch deals in some markets. In Germany, a voucher code can reduce price by €20 before September 30, 2026. Pre-orders can also include a FreeBuds SE4 or Scale 3, while existing Watch D users can get an extra €100 discount when moving to Watch D3.

Huawei FreeBuds Neo Also Launch

Alongside Watch D3, Huawei has introduced FreeBuds Neo wireless earbuds. Earbuds support dual-channel noise cancellation with up to 30dB noise reduction. An adaptive system can change ANC based on surroundings within milliseconds.

FreeBuds Neo use Huawei’s third-generation audio chip. Earbuds support up to 2.3Mbps high-resolution lossless transmission and up to 990kbps transmission bitrate. Spatial audio is also supported.

FreeBuds Neo can connect with Android, iOS, and Windows devices. Dual-device pairing allows users to connect earbuds with two devices. Huawei offers Stellar Silver, Nebula Pink, Ice White, and Starry Black options.

FreeBuds Neo cost £119.99, with sales starting on September 23. Huawei also offers a £20 discount for orders placed through October 26.

Watch D3 vs Watch D2

Huawei Watch D3 brings changes over Watch D2 across several areas. Screen size grows from 1.82 inches to 1.92 inches, while body thickness drops from 13.3mm to about 11.3mm or 11.4mm. Weight remains at 40 grams.

Peak display brightness also rises from 1,500 nits on Watch D2 to 3,000 nits on Watch D3. Battery capacity reaches 540mAh, with Huawei claiming up to six days of use.

Blood pressure monitoring remains main reason to consider Watch D3. Inflatable airbag strap allows Watch D3 to take readings in a way closer to a standard blood pressure cuff. ABPM support also allows readings across a 24-hour period.

Final Thoughts

Huawei Watch D3 focuses on blood pressure monitoring while also working as a smartwatch for sleep, workout, heart rate, and other health data. Its inflatable strap allows on-demand and 24-hour blood pressure readings. Huawei also reduces body thickness and adds a 1.92-inch LTPO AMOLED display with up to 3,000 nits brightness.

With Bluetooth 6.0, NFC payment, a 540mAh battery, six-day battery target, and health tools such as Health Glance, Watch D3 offers a mix of smartwatch functions and blood pressure tracking. Huawei also launches FreeBuds Neo alongside watch, giving users a new wireless audio option at £119.99.
