Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphone series, expected to be called the Xiaomi 18 lineup, appears to be moving closer to an official launch after multiple regulatory certifications and leaks revealed key details about the company’s next-generation premium devices.

The Xiaomi 18 series has reportedly appeared in China’s certification databases, with the model number M154FF linked to the upcoming flagship lineup. The certification confirms support for advanced connectivity features, including 5G networks, LTE bands, WLAN with WAPI security, Bluetooth, and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology.

UWB support has fueled speculation that the certified device could be the higher-end Xiaomi 18 Pro or Pro Max, as Xiaomi typically reserves advanced connectivity features for its premium models. The technology can enable more accurate device tracking, digital key functions, and improved interaction between connected devices.

Certification Signals Imminent Launch

The Xiaomi 18 series has reportedly received approval from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT), an important regulatory step required before commercial release in the Chinese market.

The certified model carries the CMIIT ID 2026-14638 and is associated with the model number 26C1166MP017, while international variants are expected to use model numbers such as 2611FPNFAG, 2611FPNFAR, and 2611FPNFAI.

Although certification documents do not reveal the complete specifications, their appearance usually indicates that a smartphone has entered the final stages before launch. Current reports suggest Xiaomi could announce the Xiaomi 18 series around September 2026, potentially shortly after Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit.

Next-Generation 2nm Snapdragon Processor Expected

One of the biggest upgrades expected in the Xiaomi 18 Pro series is the arrival of Qualcomm’s next flagship processor, rumored to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
